Bryan
Noll
Bryan Noll uses software to sample, loop, and remix his guitar and various acoustic instruments live, producing music that blurs the line between studio and stage. In 2004 Bryan graduated with honors from the New School University Jazz and Contemporary Music Program. There he studied composition with Jane Ira Bloom, and improvisation / timbral concepts with Mark Dresser. Bryan has performed with Droid, a live electronica / drum-n-bass ensemble, featuring former Miles Davis keyboardist Adam Holzman, and members of the groups Cyro Baptista’s Beat the Donkey and Antibalas. Bryan has also performed with Karsh Kale, (Bill Laswell’s Tabla Beat Science) and Kenny “The Human Orchestra” Muhammad. Bryan has been a resident musician at Laughing Lotus Yoga since 2006, providing textural music for yoga and meditation. He is currently working with pianist-composer Michael Cain on a LAByrinth Theater Company Production of Bob Glaudini’s ‘A View From 151st Street’ conducting the band and manipulating music loops and samples.
